Travel Sales Consultant
Basingstoke
£20,000+ PLUS POTENTIAL BONUS SCHEME
Currently supporting my client within the Travel Sales industry with a fantastic opportunity. My client is looking to grow their team and bring on an experienced Travel Sales Consultant tohelp run a new high street store.
The Travel Sales Consultant will have two plus years experience in the same role. The ideal person will be GDS experienced and have extensive knowledge with in travel and tourism. Being part of a small team, they willneed to be confident to handle all aspects of daily duties while managing their own desk.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* As a TravelSales Consultant, you will be receiving inbound enquiries from new and existing customers as well as helping customers enquiring in store.
* Researching into market and understand competitors' products.
* Speaking in depth with customers about theirrequirements and upselling deals and promotions.
* Planning and organising fantastic holidays for your customers, creating bespoke itineraries to suit their interests and budgets
* Using your knowledge of the countries at all times in order to upsell additional packages
* Working towards company sales and profit targets
* Help run all aspects of the store in absence of managers.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Solid knowledge of GDS software (Amadeus / Worldspan).
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
* Experience in Travel Sales at least 2 years.
* Ability to work Saturday shifts on a rota basis.
