We're very excited to be having Johnny Reckless on the decks!
Now in his 35th year of DJ’ing with an extensive DJ history, highly respected by his DJ peers and described as the ‘unsung hero’ by the late Paul Trouble Anderson …. he is known as the 'the DJ's DJ'.
Having collected records since the late 70s, in 1984 Johnny started his DJ career after forming a sound system called Space playing Soul, Disco, Boogie and early House. In the early 90s, Johnny started playing at various club nights in Hoxton long before it became the new West End. Johnny has continued to DJ all over London and within Europe.
Johnny has played alongside Paul Trouble Anderson, Louie Vega, Sadar Bahar, Marc Mac, DJ Spinna, Kerri Chandler, John Morales, Ashley Beedle, Phil Asher, Bobby & Steve, Jeremy Newall, Seamus Haji, Ricky Morrison, The Mighty Zaf, Neil Pierce, Sy Sez, Barrie Sharpe, Andrew Marriot, DJ Soul Provider, Maria Carr, Norman Jay an Michael Morely and many many others.
Alongside his DJ career, Johnny has worked in record stores since the late 80’s. Anyone who has purchased music in London over the last 31 years will have come across Johnny sometime, somewhere.
Johnny is a radio presenter, he has had a regular Monday Night show for nearly a decade on Colourful Radio where he plays a curated selection of Disco, Soul, Boogie, Afro, House, Funk & Fusion, all shows are available to listen to on Johnny Reckless Mixcloud page

The House of St Barnabas is a charity whose vision is to create a future where lasting work is a reality for people affected by homelessness and social exclusion. Participants in our Employment Academy are given work placements throughout our not-for-profit members' club, enabling them to gain valuable work experience in a vibrant, inclusive and culturally driven space and City&Guilds awards in Hospitality and Employability.
