an evening of mental health awareness
on april 26th we held our first mental health awareness evening. it was a complete sell out with over 80 people attending, the evening was full of emotion, support and kindness and we heard from some amazing speakers, including the holmes brothers. craig and tom stood up and told their story and the room was captivated as they spoke and told of their darkest times and how they got throught them. at the end the room exploded with applause and the boys had a standing ovation.
we did a q&a at the end and so many guests told their own story, with people telling us that the evening had given them the confidence to speak out about their own mental health issues.
so, we have decided that we need to do another evening of mental health awareness as a way of bringing people together, a way of educating people, a way of allowing those who've suffered to have a platform to tell their story and a way of supporting each other.
we would love you to join us, whether you suffer with your own mental health or if you know someone who is and want to help them. please come along and be part of this evening. together we are stronger.
