Working with clay, you will learn how to translate botanical forms into a decorative ceramic piece or sculpture. You will learn how to handle clay and use it to reflect nature in an expressive way. Different types of flora such as pine cones or tulips will be used as inspiration. This is not a figurative course, instead you will be encouraged to use your imagination to create something abstract yet inspired by nature.
Being open to creativity is all you need as this course will provide you with the ability to express yourself and imaginatively experiment with clay. By the end of the course you will take home your unique creative ceramic piece or sculpture for display.
This course is suitable for all levels including beginners.
Most materials will be provided but please bring the following: sketchbook, pens and pencils, your favourite flowers/plants.
