Whether you're hoping to pursue a career as an actor, or you're just looking for a fun way to learn some new skills and to widen your social network, this first course in our programme is for you.
In a friendly and supportive environment, you will:
- explore various acting techniques
- look at characterisation using imagination and improvisation
- rehearse a scene from a play
- enhance skills in working supportively with others
- discover the role of body and voice in acting
- work with experienced tutors who will nurture your confidence and creativity
- everyone regardless of prior experience or training
- people who are new to acting
- people who are looking for a creative way to improve their confidence and public speaking skills
- actors who want to brush up their skills
Times: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7.00pm - 9.30pm for 8 weeks. The course consists of 16 sessions in total.
Age: Minimum age is 18 on the first day of the course. No upper age limit.
Language requirements: Applicants must be confident speaking and reading English to a conversational level (IELTS score of 7.0 or equivalent). Please note, you will be expected to read texts/scripts that may have advanced vocabulary in them on this course.
Maximum class size: 20
Attendance: Due to the structure of the courses, and the colloborative nature of acting, full attendance is required.
