Lacking inspiration for her next piece, a successful young novelist makes a living as a teacher and a journalist. When tasked with investigating a true story that took place at the end of the Civil War involving the infamous writer and ideological fascist Rafael Sánchez Mazas, she discovers he was not murdered in a mass execution, as previously believed, but in fact escaped with the help of an anonymous soldier. She gradually pieces the story together and, while she may have set out to find the truth, she ends up finding herselfalong the way.
Introduced by Dr José Saval.
