A young, unsuccessful poet meets a young girl at an all night cafeteria in Manhattan. She doesn’t want to return home to the Bronx where she lives with her mother, so he convinces her to come to his place where he tries to seduce her. She resists in a most devastating way, turning the evening into a nightmare for both of them. It is a boy meet girl story unlike any other.

International pop star, Bono is coming to the city of Kampala, Uganda, so the government wants the homeless off the streets. Shona wants to help City Link, a local man she’s befriended, but how well does she really know him? Meanwhile, the ‘world’ is coming to town and the civil war goes on.

Ka Zimba Theatre aims to tell authentic stories of contemporary Britain that reaches across cultural lines, encouraging young people to explore the society in which they live. The company was developed by Jeffery Kissoon as a space for experimentation and training in theatrical expression inspired by the ancient African martial art form of Ka Zimba.
