Get your tickets to what is about to be the most piquant workshop to date. Get a taste of Kurdish food while learning how to paint live portraits from the well-known international Kurdish art academic Nehida Mustafa. This course is ideal for beginners as well as the more experienced. It is a real chance to concentrate on the nuts and bolts of drawing and/or painting and how you construct and make a portrait. This portrait painting art course is also aimed at everyone wishing to focus on the exploration of the human figure by using acrylics and a vast palette of colours.
The artist will introduce participants to drawing techniques which will ensure the proper representation of facial features such as eyes, nose, lips, and ears. The artist will show you how to use textures and create volume for fine academic representations of the face and body.

The presence of life model will enable participants to develop their ability to handle light and shade, get a feeling of three-dimensional shapes and connect with the subject matter.

Participants will explore the beauty of the human figure, develop good observation skills, perfect the techniques for portraiture, and learn how to express their inner artist. You will become highly proficient in drawing/painting the human figure with acrylics. In particular, you will understand how to measure accurately, to develop your use of light and tone, and to construct a space through the use of settings and backgrounds. By the end of the course, you will have produced high-quality drawings/painting to add to your art collection!
All the materials will be provided however if you wish to bring your own materials please feel free to do so.
