RSPH Level 2 Award in Nutrition for Health
This qualification covers the key role of nutrition in health and wellbeing. Its objective is to provide learners with knowledge and understanding of the relationship between diet and health and wellbeing, as well as the role of food labelling and other factors in food choices.
It will equip learners with an awareness of the importance of healthy eating and the need to provide special diets/foods for specific clients.
This qualification will give you a good understanding of the basic principles of nutrition which underpin the production of healthy food and preparation of special diets, and the key role of nutrition in health.
This short course is usually delivered over one day, and will be assessed by a 30 minute examination, consisting of twenty multiple choice questions.
This qualification is aimed at those involved in catering, food and health-related occupations, and also to carers, community workers, fitness trainers and other individuals that have a role in the promotion of health. It would also be appropriate as part of lifestyle education for people of all ages, and especially for young people.

The trainer: This course is delivered by a B.Sc (Hons) nutritionist who studied nutrition, biology and dietetics at degree level. Our trainer previously worked in the NHS and private sector as a dietitian providing dietary advise to clients with e.g. obesity, diabetes, high cholesterol and food allergies.
