We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join our food manufacturing company based in the Newport area. The Maintenance Engineer will beworking on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
The Maintenance Engineer will assist the production team to diagnose and rectify maintenance faults on site whilst performing planned maintenance on the production and packaging line machinery.
As the Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for:
Attending breakdowns within all areas of the factory
Carrying out both electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks.
Have knowledge and experience in electro-mechanical, PLC fault finding, electronics, pneumatics and hydraulics in order to support the production operators
Perform corrective and PPM when required
As the maintenance engineer you will also be working towards continuous improvements on site.
The successful Maintenance Engineer will beMulti skilled, ideally with experience of working within either a FMCG environment. As the Electrical Maintenance Engineer willbe Apprentice trained in Electrical or equivalent or Engineering qualifications from City & Guilds, NVQ, HNC, HND, 16th/17th edition, BTEC, ONC or OND
4 on 4 off days and nights
£43,000 per annum
