Production Engineer - Northampton
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Production Engineer to join our manufacturing team in Northampton. The successful candidate will have expertise in 3 & 4 axis milling machines and be involved in tooling design, quotationcreation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create quotations for new and modified tooling* Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor
* Ensure production targets are met for quality, cost and delivery
* Some assembly work involved
* Setting up work flow.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Provenexperience programming and optimising 3 & 4 axis CNC milling machines
* Strong knowledge of cutting tools and machining techniques
* Experience with tool design and quotation creation
* Working knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
* Self-motivated with a drive for efficiency and waste reduction
This is a full-time permanent position based at our Northampton manufacturing facility. It offers a competitive salary of £42,000 per year plus benefits. The workingpattern is 4 days per week - Monday to Thursday.
