On behalf of my client in Dublin, I am recruiting for a Tow bar & Service Technician with an immediate start. The purpose of the job is to fit tow bars and service trailers while practising good housekeeping and operating within the Health and Safety Regulations.

This job is suitable to a vehicle mechanic or a candidate with previous experience working with trailers.

Valid driving licence is essential

This is a full time permanent role, Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm.



Key Responsibilities:

* Undertake daily duties as designated bythe Branch Team and Workshop Diary.
* Fit tow bars to customer vehicles having first checked for marks/scratches ensuring allmarks are recorded on the relevant form. Take care at all times to handle customer's property with due respect. To ensure all tow bar fits and trailer services/repairs are completed in an acceptable time frame and quality to the Company and customer. To ensure vehicles/trailers awaiting workshop attention are securely parked in an acceptable manner and in designated areas.
* Keep up to date with any changes to supplier's tow bar fitting instructions including wiring via the Branch network and use of internet / intranet.
* Report any problems or damage relating to customer's vehicles/property immediately to the Branch Manager/Assistant Manager.
* Service and repair the Company's fleet of hire trailers to an agreed schedule.
* Maintain and update fullrecords of each trailer in the Company hire fleet for servicing purposes.
* Assemble and modify trailers as required.
* Ensure that the workshop is clean and tidy at all times.
* Keep tools/equipment in good working order and to report any faults tothe Branch Manager/Assistant Manager.
* Ensure that Company uniform / overalls and protective equipment is worn at all times.* Operate within the Health & Safety Policy of the Company. To ensure personal protective equipment is worn as required.* Be able to ascertain faults and provide technical advice as required.
* Hold a full current driving licence.
* Assist instock takes as required.
* Be trained and drive a Fork Lift Truck as required.
* Perform any other duties deemed reasonableon request.
