Description:
We have an exciting opportunity for experienced Support Workers to supporta customer based in Swindon supported with a fantastic induction with ongoing learning and development! You will be trained tosupport the customer's mental and physical wellbeing and to take positive risks to enable their successful journey to have theirown home and being part of the community. If required (and only as a last resort), you may need to use physical intervention which full training will be provided to you with in depth training and support to do this safely. The team support customers who have complex support needs, including learning disabilities, mental health issues, autism and communication differences, alongside ongoing physical health conditions. While the job is hugely rewarding, it's not always easy, as the customers may also have aforensic background and distressing behaviours.
About you
Are you a passionate and motivated Support Worker who can support the customer with any aspect of their day to day living. With the ability to work in a person centred and strengths-basedway, assisting the customer to enjoy the best possible quality of life, You'll assist in helping change the customers life forthe better by involving them and their support network) in working towards his aspirations. You'll provide personal care in a strengths-based way to facilitate greater independence, as well as use creative solutions, and assistive technology where available, to support independence.
For this position you must have worked in a similar role before and have experience of helping customers to reach their full potential. Holding level 2 Diploma in Adult Health & Social Care or equivalent, you must have agreat knowledge of professional boundaries, safeguarding, risk assessment and working with personalised support plans.
Working hours
Working on a rota covering various shift patterns which could include days, evenings, weekends, bank holidays and waking nights. You may also be required to do sleep ins or be on call.

Drivers licence with access to a vehicle is preferable, however this isn't essential as you can support the customer by public transport which expenses are paid to cover this.
Permanent, Full-time or Part-time hours available (37.5 hpw if full time) Night working and Day working opportunities.
25 days annual leave (on top of bank holidays) is given as standard, rising a day a yearup to 30 days. With the option to buy up to five days extra days leave.
