This highly successful Reinsurance corporate in the City of London is seeking a new Reporting Analyst to join their team, focused on data gathering, data quality and undertaking thedata analysis & building the reports on the company's Client & Financial Reporting commitments.
As a growing organisation, the company work hard to retain their positive family feel within the business and are seeking a Reporting Analyst who works well as part of a team, is comfortable building relationships with Clients and enjoys hybrid working as their Reporting Analysts typically work 2 days in the office and 3 days from home each week.
Highly suitable for motivated Analysts from Insurance, Reinsurance, Financial Services, Banking or similar type environments, the Reporting Analyst will receive internal training& guidance on the Reinsurance industry, together with the internal data analysis & reporting processes/procedures thatneed to be adhered to. So whether you are a Client Reporting Analyst, MI Analyst, Data Analyst or Financial Analyst, if you havea passion for data and reporting then this is an ideal role for you!
Responsibilities Include:
Liaising with the company's corporate clients to gather information for their pool/captive programs including a portfolio of the largest and most important clients.
Report creation and execution of processes, ensuring deadlines and expectations are met in line with client agreements, internal processes and network commitments - including management of your own portfolio of clients.
Handling client questions in a timely and effective manner, escalating when necessary.
Analysing trends and performance of each pool programme, summarising the explanations for variances/trends and on occasion, participating in the presentation of results to clients.
Identifying any issues that may prevent deadlines being met and assist in the development of solutions to reduce their impact.
Coordinating cessions and claim recoveries for captive clients and/or the refund process including deficit offsets and settlement of international and local dividends for pooling clients
Participating in the future development of the reporting system, internal control processes and clients reports as the company seeks to develop and improve service delivery, including supporting the IT function on the project management of ongoing system improvements and change requests.
Managing internal projects related to process improvement and system enhancement using project management tools.
Preferred Background & Experience
* Experience working as a Reporting Analyst, Data Analyst, Financial Analyst, MI Analyst or similar
* Have experience working within Insurance, Reinsurance, Financial Services, Banking, Asset Management, Investment Management or similarenvironments
* Enjoy strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly summarise and distil key components of data.
* The ability to work effectively, display empathy and influence others beyond direct control across organisational levels, countries and cultures.
* A proven self-starter with the ability to work on own initiative and display a high level of flexibility
*Excellent IT proficiency with advanced Excel skills, additional knowledge of Tableau or Power BI is beneficial.
* Excellent verbal & written communication skills - an additional language would be great!
* Strong organisational skills with abilityto manage multiple priorities.
