Logistics Night Shift Managers - Wanted (Tamworth)
£36,000 to£37,000
Kenect recruitment are looking for two experienced logistics night shift managers to join our blue chip client in Dordon, Tamworth.
Key Accountabilities:
* Plan and direct shift resources and equipment, responding to identified risks andissues by appropriately redirecting resource, to meet planned outputs
* Actively manage a safe working environment at all times by ensuring all tasks are conducted in a safe manner, as defined in the Health and Safety plan and ensuring all equipment and resources are in a safe operating condition and that pre-start and necessary checks are completed
* Communicate with suppliers, customers and third parties to build positive working relationships and address localised operational risks and issues* Provide leadership and direction to the logistics shift teams to ensure that people are engaged, focused and delivering theirpotential
* Ensure all mandatory/skills training is up to date for operators and in line with audit requirements
* Propose and implement continuous improvements so that duplication and non-value adding activity is removed
Skills and experience required/preferred:
* A level calibre
* Knowledge of the distribution/warehouse business
* Implement distribution/warehouse safety
* People management experience
* Implement sales order processes and distribution/warehouse plans* Implement action to achieve customer service
* Manage shift costs in line with a budget
* Computer numerate and literate
