Description:

* Supply Chain Planner
* Up to £13.50 per hour (Salary equivalent £28,000 per annum)
* Initial temporary contract until 30th June 2024 but could potentially extend
* Role based in Romsey, Hampshire working 3 days per week on-site and 2 days remote

Working for a global technology company we are looking for a experienced Supply Chain Planner to join their team based in Romsey, Hampshire.



This role is working full-time, 40 hours per week.3 days a week based at the offices in Romsey and 2 days a week working remotely.



Responsibilities

* Serves as a contact person supporting supplier relationship(s)
* Support the enablement and onboarding of new suppliers
* Supports logistics operations by learning and utilizing various systems and processes, and analyzes cost and service capacity of third-party logistics or contracted providers with guidance from others.
* Participates in cross-functional engagements to integrate and align operations with manufacturing sites, logistics providers, and business functions.
* Supports development of negotiation strategies and objectives as well as materials for use in negotiation procedures.
* Assists in monitoring supplier performance and provides feedback as needed.
* Supports request for proposal (RFP) and contracting activities with cross-functional teams (e.g., Finance, Legal) and ensures contracts meet both price and capacity needs with guidance from others
* Reviews reports of supplier health, evaluates compliance with business requirements (e.g., security, social responsibility, payment terms), and escalates issues or blockers to initiate corrective actions with guidance from others.
* Supports in carrier management processes,such as selection, qualification, or performance evaluation. Ensures compliance with internal and external policies and regulatory requirements with guidance from others
* Assist with the management of internal purchase requisitions and create purchaseorders on the internal system and the acquired company legacy systems, monitor deliveries and follow through regarding invoicesand payments



Skills and experience required:

* Degree in Supply chain management or equivalent
* Experience in procurement and supply chain logistics
* Supplier chain management system knowledge
* Excellent time management, communicationskills and a team player
* Understanding manufacturing/production operations
* Good attention to details
* Good IT skillsin Microsoft Office
