Description:
The ProductionManager will be supporting the senior management team to ensure that products are produced safely, efficiently, on time, withinbudget and to a high-quality standard. You will run a consistent, safe, quality led and efficient factory operation in order todeliver the production plan within agreed budgetary and service levels.
The Production Manager duties and responsibilities:
Leading a team of around 8 direct reports including 3 shift managers + deputies + Warehouse the Manufacturing manager will monitor, prioritise and achieve targets for production, productivity and safety standards.
* Training and coaching to ensure fulfilment of full potential.
* Businesses improvement implementation and sustainability applying Lean methodologies.
*Ensuring all rules, policies and procedures are adhered to and ensuring that the production area and equipment is kept clean andproperly maintained. Delivering satisfactory housekeeping standards
* Taking on projects relating to Health and safety, COSHH, hygiene and training.
* Compilation and delivery of reports
The successful Production Manager…
* Will bean experienced Manager in the manufacturing environment. This may have come from Plastics (Ideal) but any product will be considered as this is more about the practices / processes followed and successes gained of the individual rather than production process knowledge.
* Problem solving skills with a good understanding of lean manufacturing tools and techniques.
* Ability to clearly communicate and build a strong and effective team including presentation skills, coaching, influencing and the ability todeal appropriately with conflict.

Salary: £48,000 - £54,000
Candidates may be suitable with the previous titles of: Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Line Manager, Supervisor, Cell Manager, Shift Manager.
