My client, a leading Med Device business, is looking for a talented and experienced Senior Project Engineer to join their team in Waterford, Ireland.
As a Senior Project Engineer, you will play a key role in managing and supporting projects while providing technical expertise in automation. Your responsibilities will include overseeing projects from concept to validation, identifying areas for improvement, and ensuring projects are completed within budget and meet quality standards. Responsibilities:
Manage and support projects, providing technical input from an automation perspective
Utilize yourexpertise to improve processes and support manufacturing operations
Specify and procure equipment, overseeing projects from start to finish
Identify areas for improvement in engineering and manufacturing
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support projects across different locations
Provide technical support and mentorship to project teams and junior engineers
Demonstrate leadership, initiative, and self-direction in project execution
Develop user requirement specifications and technical documentation
Ensure projects are delivered within budget and meet financial objectives
Act in accordance with quality and safety standards
Analyze information, solve problems, and communicate effectively with stakeholders
Stay updated with new technologiesand industry trends
Contribute to the development of engineering and project management practices
Qualifications:
Engineering or science degree
Desirable: 5+ years of experience (or less with a relevant master's degree)
Experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry is a plus
Project management qualification is expected; additional certifications in relevant areas are a plus
