Our client, based in West Cork (commutable from Kenmare, Dunmanway, Balineen, Skibereen) has a requirement for a Quality & Technical Manager to join the senior site management team in their food production facility.
Reporting to the CEO as Quality & Technical Manager you will have a broad and varied remit.

* Do you have a relevant scientific qualification?
* Do you have 4 years quality and people management experience?
* Are you living in Ireland with Irish quality management experience?Your duties will include:
* Making sure that your Quality Assurance function is properly organized, staffed and trainedto meet and achieve plant and departmental goals.
* Support, upgrade, and develop systems to support the plant's food safety systems.
* Ensure conformity with EU & Irish and Regulations.
* Accountable for internal audits and assist in correctiveactions.
* Work with Manufacturing/Sales/NPD Departments to manage supplier quality and compliance.
* Keep abreast of industry and regulatory updates, trends, and news
* Implementing and maintaining technical standards across the site.
* Leading the technical function during customer audits and technical visits.
* Managing and motivating a team of initially 3 in the new plant's QA department
