Retail Stores Assistant - Carlow
Retail Assistant (Based in the Yard)
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day duties required in a busy yard/warehousewhile maintaining high standards of customer care and health and safety.
Job Specification
* Responsible for the generalupkeep and organisation of the warehouse area
* Ensure that the warehouse and yard are always kept tidy and that stock is clearly identifiable.
* Picking, packing, and loading of trucks and customer vehicles in a safe and timely manner
* Operating aforklift (forklift training will be provided for the right candidate)
* Customer management: serving customers in the warehouse/yard area.
* Monitoring security to safeguard against theft of goods or company property
* Work as part of a team to ensure the warehouse operates efficiently and effectively.
* Perform any other duties as may be deemed necessary or as may be required by the company.
* Building strong working relationships with customers to understand their requirements.
* Liaising with the shop staff to help fulfil incoming orders.
* Following company policies and procedures from an operational and health and safety perspective
Skills Required:
* Good organisational skills with the ability to thrive in a busy environment.
*A self-starter with a can-do attitude
* Great interpersonal skills, a natural team player, who enjoys working collaborativelywith colleagues but is equally able to work on your initiative.
Essential
* Experience working in a warehouse
* Goal-driven with a can-do attitude
* Must be extremely customer-focused and results-driven
* Flexible approach to work
* Full clean valid driver's license
Desirable
* Product knowledge in building materials
* Forklift experience
* Full C driver'slicense
Salary
Negotiable based on experience.
