Then this Network Engineer role may be for you!
My client is a IT Managed Service Provider based in Cambridgeshire and due to continued success within the company they are now looking to create a 2nd line team to support those on their 3rd line network team, with the aim of developing you in to a3rd line network engineer in the future.
You will need to have good knowledge and understanding of Networking technologies such as Cisco routing and switching (ideally to a CCNA level)
Key Duties
* To respond to incidents logged on the ticketingsystem and provide end users with technical solutions whilst working towards set SLA's.
* Provide technical assistance to on-going projects when required.
* Provide a point of technical escalation and expertise for 1st line engineers
* Troubleshooting technically challenging tickets
Skills
* At least 2 years' experience in a similar SLA driven role.
* Proven customer service skills.
* Industry standard qualifications in networking
* Cisco CCENT required as a minimum
Technologies/Certifications Desired
* Knowledge and understanding of ITIL
* Cisco CCNA
* Security Clearance (SC) would be advantageous
*Fortinet Knowledge
* F5 Knowledge
* Checkpoint Knowledge
