Concept Resourcing are looking for a Digital Delivery Manager to join a Central Government client based in London/Bristol OR Manchester.
This is an initial 6 month contract with a possible extension. The role is INSIDE IR35. Day rates between £550-600 per day, depending on experience.
The ideal candidate must have the following experience;
* Understanding of Government. You have a deep understanding of current ways of working in government, and how this impacts on digital delivery. Have experience of working in government digital delivery and digital transformation, including experience of service design and working with policy, operational and other professions to deliver digital outcomes.
* Commercial expertise. You have broad experience of worth with third party suppliers to deliver digital solutions and improvements. Several of the Top75 servicesare dependent on suppliers including for some legacy platforms so being able to manage and influence suppliers is critical.
*Agile and Lean practices. You have a deep understanding of - and be a strong proponent for - modern digital ways of working, and work effectively in a multidisciplinary, agile environment. This will include working with service teams to improve their delivery models and mechanisms.
* Maintaining delivery momentum. You can optimise the delivery flow of teams. You can actively address the most complicated risks, issues and dependencies including where ownership exists outside the team or no clear ownershipexists. You can identify innovative ways to unblock issues.
* Planning. You can lead a continual planning process in a very complex environment. You can plan beyond product delivery. You can identify dependencies in plans across services and co-ordinatedelivery.
* Communicating between the technical and non-technical. You can mediate between people and mend relationships, communicating with stakeholders at all levels. You digest a wide range of information at pace; turning this into clear advice for senior stakeholders, handling both quantitative and qualitative evidence to make decisions. You can manage stakeholder expectations and moderate discussions about high risk and complexity, even within constrained timescales.
* Life cycle perspective. Youcan recognise the appropriate deliverables and the right people to meet them. This includes having managed discovery and alpha phase activities to explore problem spaces and identify where digital services are appropriate.
* Coaching teams. This role will require you to coach your immediate team but also to provide that support to service teams across the team to address specificquick wins and implementations.
* Team dynamics and collaboration. You can identify problems or issues in the team dynamic and rectify them. You can identify issues through Agile 'health checks' with the 4 team, and help to stimulate the right responses. You share work early and often, and work collaboratively with other teams, professions and organisations, and build strong interpersonal relationships, actively maintaining networks of colleagues to achieve progress on shared objectives.
