Job Overview:

The Director of Platform Engineering will oversee Business Applications platforms and own the associated platform strategy for the Business & Engineering Application team within Enterprise IT.
You will be responsible for driving the opportunities of each new release for the platforms and engaging with vendors to align with business needs.

Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of employees (7 direct reports) and managed service providers to provide application maintenance, and delivery of applications like SAP S/4Hana, Salesforce, MuleSoft, and Tableau
- Run vendor engagement and financial negotiations
- Build and track budgets for yearly and quarterly/monthly reviews
- Work with portfolio teams on workload and capacity to deliver business outcomes
- Enable team members to drive forward platform roadmaps
- Build a strongpipeline for internal leadership
- Lead platforms group and support management activities
- Build and maintain strong partnership with business and IT partners
Required Skills and Experience:
- Experience of leading technical delivery teams in the ERP (SAP preferred), CRM, Integration, and/or Analytics spaces
- Experience and knowledge of the relevant platforms'development lifecycle and toolsets, including Dev Ops, CI / CD, end to end delivery and operations of software products.
- Experience with vendor management (platform vendors and service delivery partners)
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, including AWS,Azure and GCP
- Project and program management experience with multi-disciplined teams
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Shown budgeting and forecasting experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, pressured environment with multiple customers
- Experience working with Agile and waterfall delivery methods
"Nice To Have" Skills and Experience:- Deep technical knowledge of SAP S/4 Hana, Salesforce or MuleSoft
- Experience of actioning digital transformational programmes
- Experience working in a SOx compliant environment
