MANCHESTER
Up to £35,000 + BENEFITS + PARKING AVAILABLE
THE OPPORTUNITY:
We're exclusively recruiting on behalf of a highly successful brand specialising in footwear who is looking to expand their operation due to the continued growth. They're now seeking an experienced Buyer to support their MD as they grow to a £20million + turnover business.
As aFootwear Buyer you will be working closely with suppliers and factories, regularly reporting on and analysing sales and market trends and data to ensure the correct buying decisions are made and supporting in the development of the buying strategy.
If you are an experienced Buyer, Wholesale Merchandiser, Category Manager, Category Analyst, Footwear Buyer, Assistant Buyer, BuyingAdmin Assistant or similar, this opportunity is not to be missed!
THE BUYER ROLE:
* Taking over existing relationships with factories and suppliers from the Director
* Building strong relationships with key contacts
* Analysing sales and markettrends to identify successful products and styles
* Identifying key trends and incorporate them appropriately into upcoming collections and in line with set frameworks
* Managing sample development with colleagues internally and suppliers
* Agree designs to take to suppliers inline with the agreed strategy and collection launches
* Making final orders with suppliers and managing them to completion
* Managing the critical path of orders and ensuring they are fulfilled on time
THE PERSON:
* Must have experience in either a Buyer, Wholesale Merchandiser, Category Manager, Category Analyst, Footwear Buyer, Assistant Buyer, Buying Admin Assistant or similar
* Experience within footwear is essential
* Confident to manage relationships with suppliers and factories
* Experience managing critical path
* Able to work in a fast-paced environment
* Confident to work self sufficiently
