Much like a tiny, pocket-sized computer, the BBC micro:bit encourages kids to learn basic coding and programming skills to prepare them for today’s tech-savvy world. Each Micro:bit features 25 LED lights in a 5 x 5 grid and acts mostly as the device's display. There are two programmable buttons, which allow students to interact with the device as a user of the program they have created, such as in game-play or to skip through music. It also features an on-board compass to track the direction of the wearer.
