Description:
Our client, the world leading suppliers and service providers of real-time instrumentation and bespoke 'turn-key' environmental monitoring systems for the measurement of air pollution and greenhouse gases, requires a customer service engineer to cover the island of Ireland.
This highly sought after, customer service engineer vacancy has come about due tothe current engineer retiring next year after 30 years of service.
You will be joining a privately owned, independent company founded in 1983, which prides themselves in their knowledge and technical expertise of all things related to air pollution monitoring.
You will be a qualified engineer, mechanical/electrical/electronic or trade qualified and have experience as an independent field service engineer/technician.
You will be responsible for installing, maintaining and servicing an expensive piece of equipment which is essential and legislated that all industry has to have by law.
You will be expected to work independently, schedule your own time and keep all the admin and records of all client calls.
There are customers all over the island and the preference would be for someone living in the midlands or north of Dublin.
Your duties will include:
* Carries out repairs, routine service & testing of air quality monitoring systems / instruments at customer sites
* Carries out repairs, service & calibration of industrial and Ambient equipment
* Update and keep customers informed regarding the status of any instruments being repaired offsite.
* Perform customer training sessions in the use of the equipment and software atthe company premises and customer sites.
* Assist in final testing and installation of new system builds, and carry out any customer factory tests.
* Assists the production team in the design / build & installation of new systems when required.
*Provide technical assistance in introducing and implementing new products to the market.
