Fire & Security Technician - Berkshire/South Coast - £35,561 & Van& Phone & Laptop
Our client who are a leading global Facilities Management companies have an opportunity for a Fire& Security Technician to be the technical specialist for designated stores responsible for undertaking first call response to Fire, CCTV, EAS, Access Control, PA, Automatic Pedestrian Gates.
Key Accountabilities:
* To undertake maintenance andrepairs in accordance with KPI's set by the customer including, but not limited to response, repair, first fix, and closure.* To ensure all planned, reactive and statutory works designated to a CCTV engineer is carried out in accordance with contractual obligations as set out in the companies Bookcase.
* To complete the PPM works within agreed timescales and to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid-down procedures and satisfactory standards.
* To respond promptly to service call requests from the Helpdesk during normal hours and when on call. For avoidance of doubt out of hours will be referred to the specialist in the first instance.
* To order parts where required in line with Company Procedures, ensure promptfitment on delivery and chase outstanding parts not delivered within 5 days
* Carry out required Fire PPM visits to BS5839* To ensure Fire alarm systems are in compliance with BS 5839 and report defects as necessary
* To notify the company helpdesk of procedural task condition on cessation of works.
* To carryout surveys and complete reports as required by the supervisor / technical specialist.
What you will need;
* Service & Maintenance experience of CCTV IP/analogue systems
* Fire alarm systems Service & Maintenance
* Electrical Competency Qualification (NVQ/City & Guilds) or solid work history
* Ability to maintain and repair a range of Fire, CCTV products and specific EAS systems (Sensormatic)
* IPAF licence holder
* Experience of Microsoft Office applications
* Knowledge of Protec Fire Detection Systems
* Knowledge of PA systems* Knowledge of Access Control
* Knowledge of automatic pedestrian gates
* 1 in 4 on call - very infrequent call out and mostissues can be resolved remotely
