Plastic has had its day, and with the continuation of the emphasis on reduction of usage, other industries are beginning to re-emerge and opening up positions for new technology.
My client are a specialist designer of materials handling equipment for the non-plastic packaging sector. They are a global company with a UK based just outside Manchester and, based on the demise of plastics, they have experienced a quick increase in turnover and are now looking to expand their Automation Team tokeep up with demand.
This role is for a Controls Engineer who is hungry to develop and learn how to build SCADAs and PLCs from scratch. The company have developed a bespoke SCADA system in C++ which means you will be developed in the full architectureof the software that goes into Packaging.
This is a massive opportunity for someone who wants to become a true expert as you will have the chance to learn directly from the inventor of a hugely successful piece of software. You will also have a greatteam to work alongside you and support from senior management to ensure you have all the tools to organise and lead.
In order to be considered for this role, you will need to have experience in the following:
* Automation Design (PLC based) - Theyuse Rockwell and Siemens PLCs
* Experience in C++ (or other object orientated programming languages)
Experience in Materials Handling or Conveyors would be a massive benefit though not essential.
