Manufacturing Shift Engineer
Waterford
Our client, a highly respected and leading healthcare brand, is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Manufacturing Shift Engineer to join their team in Waterford.

* Provide technical guidance on mechanical and controls-related issues to ensure that operations and maintenance personnel possess the necessary knowledge to perform their assigned tasks effectively.
* Document issues and their respective solutions in the technical shift handover document to capture mechanical and controls-related problems and actions taken.
* Utilise Lean Six Sigma tools to review and analyse data related to uptime, yield, and performance, and lead initiatives toimprove key business metrics.
* Attend shift Tier meetings and lead daily technical actions concerning equipment performance.* Liaise with the manufacturing team to coordinate resources in alignment with priorities.
* Coordinate the execution of planned and unplanned maintenance activities during the shift.
* Conduct fault-finding and troubleshooting of equipment and process issues.
* Collaborate with Line Engineers to identify and eliminate repetitive machine failures and address key performance detractors.
* Provide support for NC/CAPA or other Quality investigations as required.
* Implement improvements under change control processes.
* Present relevant technical data to internal and external audit and inspection groups, as necessary.* Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations and procedures for yourself and others.
* Develop engineering documentation, including work instructions, SOPs, validations, and engineering studies.
Requirements:
* A minimum of a Level 8 Engineering Degree, with a preference for specialisation in Electronic or Mechanical Engineering.
* Relevant experiencein a highly automated, high-volume manufacturing environment.
* Previous experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies is highly desirable.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to analyse facts, consider alternative approaches, and evaluate the most appropriate course of action.
* Proficiency in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic software controls, and automated vision systems.
* Experience in project management and vendor management would be advantageous.
* Previous exposure toa validated medical device/pharmaceutical environment is preferred.
* Strong attention to detail and exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
