Mechanical and Electrical Engineer - Manchester - £34,000 - £39,000
We have a great opportunity for a highly skilledand experienced Mechanical and Electrical Engineer to join our client's team in Manchester. As an Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and/or operating all electrical and mechanical systems across our clients site, ensuring all H&S requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities:
* Follow safety and security procedures to ensure our clients buildings are clean,safe and secure.
* Maintain a duty of care for everyone on site.
* Assist with rack installations and cabling.
* Logging of all faults and issues within company platforms
* Perform system monitoring, environment monitoring, and remote/smart hands activities on behalf of customers.
* Carry out PPM tasks in a timely manner.
* Stock control of assets and store management* Provide support for all day-to-day activities on the site.
* Follow and adhere to robust access control process and procedures.
* Involvement with regards to testing and handover
* Work on a ticketing system to ensure tasks are picked up daily.Special Conditions:
* This role may require occasional site visits.
* Working hours are Monday to Friday, with site-specific working that includes shift cycle and on-call requirements.
* This role may require working out of hours on occasions.* This role requires the willingness of providing holiday cover and overtime support within the team.
Education & Qualifications:
* Time served tradesperson or hold an appropriate city and guilds certificate.
* Qualified to current electricalregulations (i.e. hold a current 18th Edition certification)
* Hold a full enhanced disclosure certificate/or of character toapply for one through HR.
Experience:
* Maintenance and electrical experience, preferably in the IT sector
* Experience in at least three or more of the following: L.V. switching, HVAC Systems, UPS Circuitry, Generators, BMS Systems, Fire Preventative Systems
