Small works Manager - West Midlands - £40,000 per year with bonuses and benefits.

Are you an experienced Fire & Security Engineeror Manager looking for your next challenge?

Concept has a great opportunity to work for a long-standing family run organisation who are specialists in creating tailor-made technology based integrated systems to meet the most complex and demanding security, fire, communications and life safety needs. The organisation really prides their selves on how much they invest in their people. They have an established workforce with specialists covering an array of sectors. They are looking for a new team memberto join their family.
The ideal candidate would be an experienced Commissioning / Small works professional who is willing to put the time and effort in to learn the ropes to ultimately become a fully competent manager. The ideal candidate would be looking to take that step away from being on the tools full time and have a willingness to listen and adapt on some simple yet effective day to day duties. However, we will consider a current Manager within the sector.

Responsibilities:

* Manage the client's minor works projects from pricing through to delivery via contractors and employed labour.
* Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required standard.
* Manage a team from brief to sign-off of works and subsequent snagging* Set up and communicate health and safety documents.
* Risk management, contingency planning, and communication with client throughout.
* Quality assurance through on-site inspections of works.
* Management of multiple projects at any one time across different sites.
* Documenting completed works.
* Communicating active work status with internal team.



Skills /Requirements:

* As this role requires an in-depth knowledge of Fire & Security systems up to a commissioning level, weideally are looking for candidates who have a minimum of 3 years' experience working either as an Engineer or a Manager within the sector.
* Ideally, you'd have some experience of leading / managing a team (Does not have to be within F & S).
* Relevant qualifications within Fire & Security or Competency can be demonstrated.
* Ability to multi-task whilst prioritisingworkload.
* Ability to work under own initiative with good time management skills.
* Excellent communication.
* Due to thenature of this role all candidates progressing through the application will require a screening check in accordance with BS7858-2019. This covers an ID check, 5 Year Career History (including gap periods), Basic DBS Check and financial checks.
* Must have Right to work in the UK.
* Must have a Driving Licence with no more than 3 points.
* We welcome anyone trained from an apprentice background within the Fire and / or Security sector.



Package:

* £38,000 - £40,000 /annum
* Laptop, Tablet, Mobile Phone (If required)
* Company Car + Fuel Card
* 20.5 Days Holiday rising to (21.5 after 12 months) + Bank Holidays* Candidate must be within a commutable distance of the Office
* 40 Hour Working Week (08:00 - 17:00)
