Are you an experienced Vehicle Engineer? Are you looking for your next new exciting engineering adventure?
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Vehicle Engineer to join our well-established client based in London. Responsible for ensuring a consistently high level of performance in maintaining the company's fleet; ensuring vehicles are inspected and repaired to DVSA and company standards for MOT and roadworthiness. You must have the ability to work as part of a team, and on your own initiative, always taking health & safety considerations into account. You must be able tocommunicate effectively with colleagues across all other departments to ensure the efficient operation.
The Job:
* Inspect and repair vehicles to the high standards set by DVSA and the company
* Ensure that vehicles are maintained regularly inaccordance with our PMI schedule
* Prepare vehicles for MOT testing
* Carry out diagnostics tests and take remedial action from defect reports
* Ensure the safe use of garage equipment i.e., air tools, lifting equipment, electrical and general garageequipment in accordance with safe operating procedures:
* Liaise with the Head of Engineering on a regular basis to ensure compliance with the company standards and timescales
* Maintain a high standard of presentation for all vehicles
* To be fullyconversant with Company policies and procedures and act in accordance with them.
The Person:
* You will have experienceas a PCV or HGV fitter / technician / mechanic
* Evidence that you hold NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualification.
* Category D Drivers Licence
The Package:
Basic rate £20.24 per hour, with an enhanced rest days rate of £22.83
Minimum of 8 hours per day, any 5 days out of 7 on a shift basis.
Working hours between 06:00am - 20:30pm
