My Client are The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence based in Manchester and are seeking a PMO Lead on an initial 6 month contract basis (37.5 Hours) Paying £433 per day (Inside IR35).
Work will be a mix of remote working and office based working from NICE's Manchester office.
Job Description
The PMO Lead will ensure appropriate governance and assurance arrangements are in place to support the successful delivery of the Digital Workplace programme and associated DIT projects,
The key duties and deliverables* for the role will be:
* Lead DIT PMO governance processes, ensuring all governance steps are performed as necessary.
* Support project leads in developing project plans, maintaining, and updating project information, tracking actions and milestones, key performance indicators, risks and issues and quantitative/qualitative benefits.
* Produce, consolidate, and issue reports as necessary with input from taskforce leads, in line with the programme's governance requirements.
* Maintain the register of programme risks and issues, escalating risks and issues, and review with Programme Director, DIT Strategy and Governance.
* Ensure that project and agile best practice approaches are in place and applied to existing and new plansand projects use the most appropriate tools and methodology.
* Ensure the programme and project documentation library is keptup to date.
* Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports for governance groups as required.
* Analyse and interpret complex data sets and be able to produce digestible reports for multiple audiences.
* Support the management of dependencies and interfaces between elements of the programme and projects.
* Maintain excellent links with, and work across departmental and organisationalboundaries, to take a whole system approach to designing and implementing changes.
Skills and Experience
* Experience ofmanaging the delivery of a Programme Management Office, projects and/or change programmes with demonstrable successful deliveryof programme and project outputs to required time, quality, and cost.
* Experience of co-ordinating and managing projects incomplex and challenging programme environment.
* Evidence of being able to manage and plan a broad range of complex activitiesand diverse workloads, developing detailed programme and/or project plans.
* Comprehensive IT skills with experience of usingExcel for analysing and producing data, collating power point presentations, Word for producing professional briefing documents, MS Project, PowerPoint, etc.
* Demonstrated ability to develop, produce and present a wide range of complex information reports and analysis on a regular and ad hoc basis. Reports include spreadsheet-based reports, which need to be presented in a highquality and user-friendly format.
* Problem solving - Demonstrated ability to analyse problems in a logical and structured wayusing qualitative and quantitative information, supporting the generation of innovation solutions, and adapting approaches to problem-solving to achieve sustainable outcomes.
* Evidence of highly developed negotiation and influencing skills in complex and highly contentious situations.
