ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT
BRAINTREE

THE OPPORTUNITY:
Get Recruited is working exclusively with a growing Insurance firm inthe Braintree area. They're looking to hire an Assistant Accountant to join the business and work in a busy finance team of 5 reporting into the Financial Controller. The Finance Assistant will be responsible for administering the Accounts Payable and Sales Ledger and other ad-hoc duties
ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
* Chasing overdue broker accounts
* Collecting money from brokers
* Following up on broker statements
* Collating nonstandard broker statements
* Broker account reconciliation
* Accounts Payable
* Accounting queries
* General departmental duties, Banking,
* Holiday cover
* Ensure allsales invoices are correctly calculated (including VAT) and coded to the correct nominal accounts.
* Deal with invoicing queries in an effective & timely manner
* Provide information for cash book & cash flow forecasting
* Maintain confidentiality of the department and use discretion where necessary
KEY EXPERIENCE:
* Have worked in an Accounts Function before* AAT Level 2 or above
* Good IT skills using all Microsoft packages, in particular Word & Excel
THE FINANCE ASSISTANT SALARY IS PAYING UP TO £25,000 + BENEFITS
