Description: 
The purpose of the role is to work closely with the CFO to bring absolute integrity to the financial processes,systems and internal controls. This is a key leadership role within the Finance team driving best practice and quality with a unwavering focus on supporting the business to achieve its growth plan and strategic goals. 
 
 Main Duties 
 
 * Responsible for the timely and accurate compilation of consolidated monthly accounts and commentary as well as submission to head office
 * Responsible for the annual compliance programme including audit, tax and corporate secretarial across UK and international entities
 * Providing practical and commercially focused advice, variance analysis and insight to the key stakeholders in agrowing and evolving environment
 * Responsible for the annual consolidated budgets and forecasts and for detailed planning onbusiness overheads as well as presenting the information to the Senior Leadership Team
 * Ensuring absolute integrity in the balance sheet reconciliation processes with a full understanding of any risks to the carrying balances
 * Mentoring, coaching and developing the Finance team, including setting of both individual and team KPIs
 * Continuous improvement in developing the people, systems and processes within the Finance team to the benefit of the organisation delivering automation, simplification and enhanced information flow
 * Cashflow and treasury reporting and forecasting, ensuring working capital is available to fund operational and capital requirements and that the foreign exchange exposure is well managed 
 * Supporting the CFO to build thefinancial plans for the business and informing and tracking against those goals and adjusting as necessary
 * Partnering with the operational teams to facilitate the successful execution of promotions, adding value through finance, risk and process expertise
 * Other ad-hoc duties and special projects that add value to the organisation
 
Skills and experience 
 
 * ACCA or CIMA qualified with relevant commercial experience
 * Previous experience in a Financial Controller role or similar
 * Exceptional attention to detail with a strong focus on quality outcomes
 * High level of self-motivation, drive, initiative andadaptability
 * Experience in developing a finance team that aligns with the business goals
 * Focus and proven track record on process improvement and adaption to the business needs as they change
 * Excellent communication, interpersonal and businesspartnering skills
 * Effective planning, time management and a focus on meeting deadlines
 * Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and significant exposure to systems and the role they play in improving the finance function
