Job Description
We are looking for talented Senior and mid-level Full Stack / PHP developerswho will work as team-players in a small development team to work on the ongoing development and improvement of our customer facing site, our internal admin panel, and our back-end processes in general.
As a key player in a small team you will needto be a good all-rounder, highly motivated, and be able to remain focused whilst under pressure to achieve tight deadlines.Candidates for the Senior role will have leadership skills, clarity of vision, an ability to influence colleagues without formal authority.
not all the skills below are mandatory, but the more you have, the better:
* Knowledgeable with OOP principles and design patterns.
* Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
* Advanced understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS, and experience using them with a CSS framework such as Bootstrap, Foundation or Semantic UI.
* Highly proficient with at least one of the following two technologies:
* client-sidescripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery and other front-end frameworks such as Vue /React / Angular
* PHP MVC frameworks such as Symfony / Laravel / Codeigniter
* Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
* Experienced working with and building REST apis, on client side, server side or both.
* Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
* Proficient understanding of Git
* Experience reviewing and approving colleagues' code before deploying.
* Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them.
* Design skills and familiarity with tools such as Photoshop and Illustrator is desirable.
* Experience working in (or leading teams in) Agile environments
* Experience with the following, whilst not essential will be a distinct plus: Meteor.js, mobile app development
Nice to haves:
* Previous fintec experience.
* ITIL or PRINC2 qualifications
* LAMP server administration
Responsibilities
* Planning of new developments (Senior role)
* Developing newfeatures
* Improving existing features
* API development
* Decouple existing front-ends from their back-ends
* Build reusable code and libraries for future use
* Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
* Ensure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
* Ensure security protocols and PCI compliance are adhered to.
* Collaboratewith other team members and stakeholders
