Are you dynamic and a strong operational leader, with a proven record in managing a care service?
First City Nursing and Care has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Manager to oversee adomiciliary care service in the Isle of Wight.
You will be expected to grow the business, taking on new packages and developing the hours of delivery supplied.
Manage the effective recruitment, induction and training of the office team (e.g. coordinator (s), supervisor (s), and support staff) and care assistants. Identify ongoing training needs and make sure staff are up todate with current best practice.
Ensure there are sufficient numbers of suitably qualified staff allocated appropriately tomeet service needs at all times. Implement company policy and procedures in relation to managing absence, disciplinary, capability and grievance matters Provide information, guidance and ongoing supervision to enable staff to effectively and safely carry out their roles. Carry out appraisals and monitoring of staff performance.
Ensure all emergency on-call issues are dealt witheffectively, such as covering calls either directly or indirectly when care assistants are sick or absent Promote the business Attend external meetings and represent the service in a positive manner Participate in the growth and development of the business.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Interact with CQC to ensure smooth operation of the business
* Delivering compliant care to all our partner relationships
* Managing the daily operations of the business
* Hold or working towards level 5 inleadership and management (or equivalent)
* Be an existing registered manager with the CQC with an excellent track record
*Have a pro-active attitude to developing business
* You'll be the main point of contact with the Local Authority, GP's, healthcare professionals and service user's families.
* You'll ensure that the domiciliary care service is meeting CQC requirements.
* You'll ensure that you are meeting local authority contract compliance.
* You'll be responsible for the recruitment andretention of staff
* You'll be a strong leader of staff, able to support and motivate a team to all achieve the same objective.
