Description:

Our client, one of the largest professional services firms in the world,is now seeking to hire a skilled Assistant Manager - Financial Services Tax to join their team on a permanent basis in Dublin, Cork or Limerick.

The role is offered as a hybrid.

About the role:
Your portfolio will include clients operating in the Financial Services industry, including Aviation and Private Equity. The group also supports the Transaction Services team in theprovision of advice for mergers and acquisitions. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a role that provides workthat is varied and challenging. You will be working directly with senior managers and partners, with significant direct client interaction.

What you will do:
Assist the senior management, including partner, with the successful, timely and commercial delivery of tax advice to Irish and international clients
Take ownership of the project management of clients/assignments to ensure service delivery in line with client expectations
Mentor / training more junior members of the FS Tax team
Assist with thecompliance function of the client portfolio
Carry out technical research necessary to support client engagement and for internal/external thought leadership commentary
Assist with and the ability to identify new products or services to existing and potential clients
Assist with the management of fee and collection targets

What you need:
Fully ITI qualified, preferably withsome experience at management level
Strong academic record
Good technical knowledge of corporate tax and relevant legislationand case law
Minimum 3 years' experience in a professional tax environment - ideally with some Big 4 experience
Financial services and M&A experience an advantage
Strong commercial awareness
Experienced in providing strong client service deliveryacross a portfolio of businesses/clients
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong ability to build good workingrelationships with clients and colleagues
