I started my career as a photographer after taking beautiful pics of my own children whilst on maternity leave from my job in event management. People started to ask me to photograph their children, too, and suddenly a whole new career unfolded. I’ve always had a passion for photography and an eye for detail and my years spent working in a corporate environment mean that while I’m creative, I’m organised and adaptable, too. I take pride in the fact that my photo shoots and photography sessions are often described as calm and fun, because I do all the research and preparation beforehand to ensure that every detail has been thought through and all eventualities planned for. Some say I’m unflappable – I say efficient! Which is just as well, because although I’m based in Orpington near Bromley (close to the Kent and London borders), my photography takes me all over the country and no two days are the same, so I have to be sure I have all my ducks in a row. Since I started working as a photographer in 2005 I have captured tens of thousands of images for a diverse range of clients. Wedding photography is a particular favourite of mine, but family shoots are where I started and I always find them a lot of fun. I understand that many people are nervous in front of a camera so work hard to create a relaxed environment so that everyone comes away happy and loving the results.
