Grantham Art Prize

The Grantham Art Prize was launched by Imperial College London and the Royal College of Art to create collaborations between up-and-coming artists and Imperial's world-renowned climate and environmental researchers.

Six emerging artists were chosen by a panel of established artists, critics and scientists to receive the prize, and were commissioned to create artworks that would create conversations about the urgent issue of climate change.

The Earth And Me

The project Áinne Burke is developing with the Institute, TEAM (The Earth And Me), brings a visual message to an international audience. Using the chemistry of the periodic table (humans being 62 of these, all constantly interacting with the molecules of the air, earth and water), Ainne hopes to convey that as individuals, we all have a relationship to the earth, and she hopes to raise awareness of how we can better look after it.
