ABOUT FARRINGDONFarringdon is a historic area in the City of London, incorporating the south western part of the London Borough of Islington, and the south eastern part of the London Borough of Camden. The area is, informally, thought to be the immediate vicinity around the station. Farringdon is best known for the iconic Smithfield Meat Market, and the notorious nightclub, Fabric.
Getting Around FarringdonFarringdon is an inner city neighbourhood, and as such it is well connected to much of the capital. The area is served by the Circle, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan lines, from Farringdon station, and Thameslink services, from Farringdon Road station. To make life even easier, Farringdon is also due to be an interchange point for the Elizabeth line, which is planned to open in 2022.
