Contract Maintenance Engineer - Grays/Dartford
An excellent opportunity has become available for a multi-skilled maintenance engineer to join our team on an ongoing contract basis. This is working permanent nights 4 on4 off 12 hour shifts.
As a contract maintenanceengineer, you will be required to carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on production equipment, utility systems, andbuilding facilities. This is a hands-on role where you will be troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic,and hydraulic systems across different manufacturers.
Core Responsibilities:
* Conducting planned preventative maintenance work during both day and night shifts
* Responding quickly to breakdowns and faults to minimize downtime
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and maintenance manuals
* Diagnosing faults accurately and rectifying issues professionally* Installing new plant, equipment and machines as required
* Completing maintenance paperwork and documenting work undertakenThe ideal engineer will have experience working on rotating equipment, conveyors, motors, pumps, and pneumatic/hydraulic controls. You will be used to working with minimal supervision and taking ownership of your tasks.
