My client requires a Health and Safety Co-ordinator tojoin their team in Citywest, Dublin.

Based in their Citywest office, you will be responsible for coordination of all Health & Safety activities over their 6 sites.

Responsibilities: (A Snapshot…)



* Update supply chain depots safety statement.
* Carry out risk assessments and maintain depots risk registers on documentation system and ensure compliant with section 19 of the health safety and welfare at work act.
* Chair and convene safety committee meetings.
* Ensure safety training is provided and co-ordinate with depots on requirements i.e., manual handling, fire warden, first aid responder, chemical spill response, rescue and working at heights, MEWP.
* Maintain key performance indicators for health and safety, litigation, and maintenance.
* Co-ordinate maintenance teamwork orders and maintain KPI's for same.
* Carry out internal health and safety audits for the supply chain depots nationwide.
* Carry out accident and incident investigations and where necessary provide mitigating actions, reporting all accidents when required to the health and safety authority.
* Represent the business at HSA inspections, insurance meetings, and customer audits.



Requirements:

* 3rd Level qualification (minimum level 7) in health and safety.
* Manual handling instructor qualification.
* VDU/DSE workstation assessor.
* First aid responder qualification.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a health and safety role in an FMCG environment.
* Excellent knowledge of the 2005 Health safety and welfare at work act.
* Good knowledge of chemical safety and fire safety.
* Accident management and incident investigation skills preferably with a formal training qualification.
