Maintenance EngineerAn exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer has arisen with a leading FMCG company in Bedford. The successful candidate will oversee all maintenance activities across the food and beverage production facility.
Responsibilities:* Managing all maintenance activities including preventative and breakdown maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and pneumaticsystems
* Optimizing PPM schedules and improving equipment uptime
* Troubleshooting and repairing breakdowns across processing and packaging equipment
* Coordinating with production teams to minimize downtime during maintenance
* Developing and implementing maintenance improvement projects
* Managing parts inventory and maintenance supplies
* Leading a team of skilled maintenance technicians
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a maintenance engineer within an FMCG environment is ideal* Strong electro-mechanical bias with ability to fault find on food production machinery
* Excellent understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and refrigeration systems
* Self-motivated with a proactive approach to preventative maintenance
* Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
We offer a competitive salary of £40,000 and a 3 shift pattern with earlies, lates,and nights on an 8 hour shift rotation.
