Description:
Our client, a multi site/multi national company that is part of a large group, seeks a Head of Technical for their sitebased in Tipperary Ireland,. This role reports in to the MD. You will be joining an established quality team, that has a good structure. There are 27 in the team (over 2 sites) with 5 direct reports. In the senior leadership team the average tenure is 17 years.

Your duties will include:
Lead and Manage the quality teams acrossthe 2 manufacturing facilities.
Be the key technical point of contact for our Global Customer base of all Food safety and Quality agenda items.
Protect the business from all food safety risks and manage and evaluate all risks and opportunities to the business.
Implement judgement, vision, management, and leadership within the areas of food safety and manufacturing.
Technical and Food Safety ownership of long term capacity planning of each factory footprint.
Provide leadership and clear guidance to allbusiness units in the areas of technical and manufacturing governance to ensure that the company's strategic vision translatesinto profitable operations. Utilise the cross functional expertise and breadth of knowledge of this role to make informed and well-educated decisions for the business.
Develop a culture of continuous improvement within the technical and manufacturing arena.
To ensure the brand values of the business are maintained through the best ethical, integrity and food safety compliance.
Act as the critical interface, developing and maintaining key strategic relationships with government regulators and compliance authorities. (HSE, FSAI, NSAI)
