THE COMPANY:
We're exclusively recruiting on behalf of a highly reputable multi-million-pound FMCG business located in Preston that is looking to significantly expand their operation.
They're seekinga Warehouse Manager to join the team for a period of 6 months whilst they upgrade systems to create business efficiency in preparation for their next growth. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Manager to bring their expertise and gainexposure within this truly forward thinking and inspirational business.
Whilst this is a contract position, you'll gain great experience within a business that has it's sight set on becoming the UK's largest within their industry.
THE WAREHOUSE MANAGER ROLE:
* Working closely with the current Warehouse Manager, you'll be taking responsibility for the Warehouse operationsfor a period of 6 months to assist with the business transition.
* Ensuring all stock is rotated on a FIFO (First In First Out) basis.
* Ensuring accuracy and movement of all goods through accurate stocktaking and working to GMP standards at all times.
* Booking stock into and out of the department and controlled according to GMP and SOP's by the whole team. Creating and updating relevant SOP's as necessary
* Ensuring the safe operation of all manual handling equipment.
* Planning and co-ordinating daily schedules for the team.
* Coach and give feedback to members of the team in order to meet the required standards.
*Effectively delegate tasks on a daily basis to optimise output to achieve set targets whilst adhering to GMP.
* Communicate with the team and inform Director of Operations of any difficulties at anytime throughout the day.
* Liase with Customer Care,Accounts and Operations in a timely manner to ensure schedules & deliveries are maintained.
* Ensure the team keeps the areas of work clean and tidy, adhering to set housekeeping standards to minimise contamination.
THE PERSON:
* Must have experience as a Warehouse Manager within an FMCG business
* Good people leadership skills with the ability to instill good standards and ensuring that key objectives are achieved
* Experience of working with either ERP or WMS systems
* Must be availablefor immediate interview and be able to fully commit to a 6 month contract
