I'm currently recruiting for a Clerical Officer Grade IV to join the Emergency Department in Tullamore, Co. Offaly

You will be responsible for providing a front-line reception service and administrative function to the Emergency Department and for delivering a high standard of customer care to a wide range of client groups, including the ward's multi-disciplinary team, patients, relatives and their carers.

The post-holder must play a proactive role in collecting, investigating, verifying and recording a high standard of patient demographic and treatment data. The post holder mustaccurately and in a timely manner enter such information on the computerised patient information system, to ensure that the team receives appropriate level of information for patient activity, avoids the potential clinical risks inherent with inaccurate patient records and is compliant with GDPR

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Provide clerical support to the existing team
* Responsible for patient check in and check out
* Input, update and manage files
* Diary management and appointment management
* Take payments and manage receipts / invoices
* Responsible for correspondence
* Working on a roster over 7 days running 24 hours
* 37 hours guaranteed / shift allowance available

Week 1 - three days (Wed, Thurs, Fri) 12hr shift
* Week 2 - two days (Sat/Sun) half day Sat/Full day Sunday) Sunday may change
* Week 3 - three nights ( Mon, Tues, Wed) 12 hr shift
* Week 4 - four nights (Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun) 12hr shift.



REQUIREMENTS:

* Previous clerical or reception experience is essential
* Must be immediately available and available to work nights
* Flexible, adaptable and a quick learner
* Good withIT especially excel
* Customer service skills and people person
