Governance and Compliance Analyst - Tullamore, Co. Offaly
Grade VI Clerical Grade
Hybrid working available

The Governance & Compliance controls reporting analyst will provide support within key risk and control activities such as the annual controls assurance process, management of the central controls repository containing audit and assurance review findings, and developed action plans for each division / group

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

The role is responsible for but not limited to:Administration, Service delivery and Improvement

* Supporting the Annual Controls Assurance Review Process
* Supportingareas with regards to controls queries and data request
* Maintenance and update of the controls data repository
* Development of controls analysis and effective reporting for each area
* Ensure that archives and records are accurate, maintained confidentially and readily available to the appropriate authority
* Seek feedback from service users/customers and implement change to incorporate same, in agreement with line manager
* Assist in ad-hoc compliance and technical issues as they arise.
* Assist in the requirement to drive change and to support the implementation of IFMS and other development solutions.

* Maintain own knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and practicesto perform the role effectively and to ensure current work standards are met by own team in particular knowledge of the NationalFinancial Regulations, Health & Safety Legislation, Employment Legislation, FOI Acts etc.

Experience, Skills, competencies and/or knowledge

* Demonstrate experience in working in a complex organisation with multiple stakeholders.
* ExcellentMS Office skills to include, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
* Knowledge and experience of using finance or controls reporting systems
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to present information in a clear and concise manner.
* Excellent planning and organisational skills including using computer technology effectively.
* The ability to managedeadlines and effectively handle multiple tasks.
* The ability to manage within allocated resources and a capacity to respondto changes in a plan.
* The ability to appropriately analyse and interpret information, develop solutions and contribute to decisions quickly and accurately as appropriate.
* Initiative in the resolution of complex issues.
* The ability to recognisewhen it is appropriate to refer decisions to a higher level of management.
* A capacity to develop new proposals and recommend decisions on a proactive basis.
* Flexibility, problem solving and initiative skills including the ability to implement change.

Access to own transport as post may involve occasional travel to other locations
