Overview of the HR Assistant:
This HR Assistant will assist the HR Manager with the daily running of asmall busy HR department in head office with circa. 150 employees. A key part of this role is being the first point of contact for all HR related queries and ensuring the team is approachable and helpful. This position entails running an efficient, productive HR function, ensuring legal compliance and ensuring that HR delivers the very best service to the business.
The positiveis that the successful HR Assistant will help shape their role so there will also be the opportunity to gain experience in otherHR Projects such as recruitment, training, benefits management, performance management and ensuring that the new HRIS system PayeScape is implemented into the business.
HR Assistant Responsibilities:
* First point of contact for all HR related queries
* Covering the HR Manager's absences
* Managing the starters/leavers process including preparing contract packs and organising and carrying out inductions and exit interviews
* Ensuring immigration rules are complied with
* Preparing monthly reports for Head office, finance and payroll
* Monthly reporting of absences (i.e. holidays, sickness)
* Assisting with the payroll management including collating monthly payroll information, completing relevant forms etc
* Occasionally assisting withthe recruitment process (i.e. post job adverts, arrange interviews, reply to unsuccessful candidates, liaise with recruitment agencies etc)
* Assisting with the management of benefits
* Assisting with flexible working requests
* Supporting the relocation of international employees
* Supporting the appraisal process
* Keeping HR policies and procedures up to date and legally compliant
* Ensuring HR/Payroll databases are up to date, accurate and legally compliant
* Helping with the organisationof social events
* All HR-related administrative tasks
* Files and databases audit
* Any other duties in line with the role and/or as requested by management.
Ideal Qualifications/ Experience
Essential: Minimum of 12-18 month's HR Administration or Assistant experience
Previous experience in a small HR team or stand-alone role
Demonstrated experience of dealing with highly sensitive/confidential information and with employees at all levels
Desirable: CIPD qualified or part-qualified (Level 3 or 5)
