* Up to £42,000 per annum
* Initial temporary contract until End November 2023 - possibility to extend
* Role based in Colworth, Bedford
* Hybrid working - 2 days a week on-site and 3 days remote working



An experienced HR Generalist is required for a Global FMCG company with offices in Colworth, Bedford.This is an initial contract role until 30th November 2023 but could potentially extend. The role is working full-time (37.5 hours) with a hybrid model of 2 days in the office and 3 days working remotely.



The ideal candidate will have practical ERexperience as this is the biggest element of the role so this includes disciplinaries, grievances, performance management and working on cases that carry risk for the business.



JOB PURPOSE

As an HR Generalist / People Partner you will be passionate about supporting our colleagues through their career journey. You will be part of the Employee Experience team - this groupof colleagues strives to create and deliver slick processes for every employee journey there is. Your interactions with employees in your business function will ensure they feel valued, heard and given the right resources and support they need during the most important moments during their careers (and in some instances, such as parental leave, during their lives!).



RESPONSIBILITIES

The HR Generalist / People Partner will be able to directly make a positive impact on each key stage of an employee's lifecycle and be the key person to positively influence and shape the employee experience at times which are critical in their career.

Key to the smooth running of HR Operations within the UK business, working with Employees, Line Managers, HRBPs andother business partners within the function you are partnering, you will:

* Manage onboarding, job move and exit employee engagement. Own the end-to-end employee cycle - partnering line managers and acting as a single point of contact for employees inyour function area, through key career moments such as onboarding, role moves locally and globally, career growth, parental leave, time off, exit, etc.
* Provide coaching and support to line managers in employee experience. Empower our employees to bethe best version of themselves.
* As People Partner, you will be a wellbeing ambassador, championing positive health and wellbeing, and promoting the resources available to support our people.
* Support Local HR Strategic People Agenda: Work with HRBPs and Leaders to create and deliver project plans for managing any change programmes and reorganisations.
* Take a proactive approach to employee relations, reviewing data and spotting any employee relations trends, recommending solutions, and coaching Line Managers to take any actions you feel are the right steps to take/ tackle problems before they grow.
* Guide Leaders and HRBPs in relation to HR policies and procedures (such as performance improvement, grievances, absence management etc), coaching them through the process and ensuring they have a good understanding of the legal requirements. Our role with ER can be very hands-on, writing scripts, creating outcome letters, etc. to support cases through to completion.







ALL ABOUT YOU* You'll have experience of employee relations and case management, including knowledge of UK employment laws and regulations* You will have great attention to detail, a passion for delivering great customer experience and you can spot an opportunityto improve a process at a mile off
* You will be experienced in handling sensitive matters with tact and diplomacy, you are comfortable having difficult conversations, working professionally and discreetly with sensitive information
* Both the what andthe how are important to us - explaining requirements/processes is key, but first comes the critical step of gaining buy-in from your stakeholders. Therefore, you'll have strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, building strong relationships with trust & confidence, as well as having the ability to influence.
* You'll be confident to work independently - making your own judgment, using discretion while utilising company policies and practices
* A natural collaborator - you'll work well as part of the team, there is no such thing as "not my job!" here - we have one shared purpose, to drive growth, whilst protecting the business from risk.
